Countybank, a family-owned and high-growth Financial Services Institution is seeking a Staff Accountant I who will have primary responsibility, with support of the Financial Controller, daily accounting operations including wire transfer and deposit reclassification program, general ledger and bank account reconciliations. Countybank’s continued growth in all lines of business combined with the heightened level of regulatory scrutiny in the industry, has increased the complexities of our accounting responsibilities. Thus, the duties of this group and of this position are critical to achieving our long-term strategic goals.
Position Duties and Responsibilities include:
General Accounting: Responsible for balancing the bank’s correspondent bank accounts ensuring all outstanding items are cleared in a timely manner as well as making all the bank’s corporate payments. Also reviews and verifies payment amounts, initiating all wires and ensures all payments are made in a timely manner. Reconciles internal bank and general ledger accounts ensuring all outstanding items are cleared appropriately and accurately. Assists with audit and budget preparatory work and analyzes expense variances to budget.
Operational: This position will be responsible for the daily operation of the bank’s deposit reclassification program ensuring all deposit accounts are in balance, reclassified accordingly and all FR2900 reporting is accurate. Also serves as the liaison for correspondent and clearing agent relationships as well as with wire transfer vendors. Will serve as the primary backup for accounts payable.
Funds Management: The Staff Accountant will aid in current and forecast future liquidity needs. Additionally, they will be responsible for wire transfer process adherence reviews and also serve as backup to daily wire transfer operations.
This position is critical to our ability to manage the proper balance of risk and reward to achieve our planned growth objectives.

Specific Experience Required
Associates Degree from an accredited college and a minimum of 1to 2 years experience in accounting
Strong skills and comfort with computers and accounting software
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, especially with math
Experienced and professional communication skills (including the synthesis of data and translating for appropriate use by non-accountants, presentation skills, etc.)
Demonstrated research skills – Ability to dig for information from the internet and other sources and to gain information from other financial institutions
Curiosity about regulatory compliance for financial institutions, with ability to make recommendations of “best practices” for consideration by management
Demonstrated initiative and curiosity to learn and grow in personal knowledge and capabilities

Countybank, a division of TCB Corporation, a sound and growing Financial Services Institution is seeking a Trust Processor. The Trust Processor performs diversified data entry, reconciliations and information processing functions to serve Countybank Trust Services customers under the auditing and regulatory guidelines. In conjunction with the Trust Operations Manager and Trust Processing team, sets priorities and completes job duties assigned to ensure all essential job functions are completed by the team in a time sensitive manner.
Major Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Daily Processing: posting transactions, resolving exceptions, account reconciliation, processing ACH and wire transfers, account maintenance as needed.
Administrative: establishing new accounts, provide new account documentation to clients and monitor compliance, monitoring new accounts until all assets have been received, check processing, and closing accounts, interact with clients to process distributional requests.
Monthly processing: balance multiple trust funds accounts, verify accruals, prepare monthly Trust Committee and Board reports, and maintain insurance reporting for individual accounts.
Compliance: works with team to ensure that all aspect of job functions are performed in compliance with departmental, organizational and state and federal compliance guideline.
Qualifications, Education/Job Skills:
4-year degree from an accredited college or university, majoring in Business or Accounting preferred
1-2 years previous banking or accounting experience.
Advanced Excel skills preferred.
The ideal candidate for this position should be self-motivated, possess a high level of initiative, and be able to make deadlines, even under pressure. The right person must be able to handle daily job duties without constant supervision, work as part of an existing team. This position requires someone with above average organizational and time management skills but also someone who can work on several duties at the same time. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are a must.
